Save Popponesset Bay is now providing internships for local residents! Meet our new interns and when you see them on the Spit or around our community, please say hello!

Hello! My name is Elle Murray, and I am excited to be interning this summer with Save Popponesset Bay (SPB). I am currently a Communications major at James Madison University, where I am working toward my Bachelor of Science degree. When I am not at school, I live in New Seabury on Cape Cod.

The Spit has always been a very special place to me, and I have so many fond memories of spending summers there since I was little. Because of that connection, it means a lot to me to be part of an organization that works to protect and preserve a place that I care about so deeply.

I am looking forward to learning more about the community, growing my professional skills, and supporting SPB’s mission throughout the summer. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and excited to be involved in such meaningful work.

Hello! My name is Rachel Blackburn and I am super excited to be interning this summer with Save Popponesset Bay (SPB)! I just finished my first year at Endicott College, where I am working towards my bachelors in marketing, as well as a +1 MBA program.

I’ve lived on Cape and in Mashpee my whole life, so I am looking forward to continuing getting to know my community further. Additionally, I look forward to growing my marketing and professional skills, as well as working for a good cause that works to protect and preserve one of Mashpee’s most beautiful spots.
