2nd Annual Fore the Spit Classic Fundraiser - buy your tickets HERE!
Join us for the 2nd annual Fore the Spit Classic, the Save Popponesset Bay Golf Tournament on Monday October 5, 2026, at The Club at New Seabury, with registration starting at 9am. Shotgun start, scramble format. The banquet following will include a meal, drink ticket, awards, donated silent auction items and raffle!
Enjoy a fantastic day on the dunes course while supporting vital efforts to protect and preserve the beautiful Popponesset Bay.
Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just looking for a fun way to give back to the community, your participation directly helps safeguard this treasured local environment for future generations.
Itinerary:
9am registration
10am shotgun start
10-3pm golf
3-4:30pm cocktail hour
4:30-7pm presentation, auctions and raffle during banquet dinner!

Project Informational Session
You’re invited to join the SPB Board & project team for an informational session about the Longer, Wider, Deeper Spit Coastal Restoration Project. After 12 years of hard work we are shovel ready to execute this Fall! This session is your opportunity to gain valuable insights into our community’s most significant environmental endeavors. Whether you’re directly involved or interested in our coastal conservation efforts, your presence and engagement are highly valued.
Audubon Educational Walk
Join us on the Spit this Saturday, July 26, for a free educational guided walk by Mass Audubon Society. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the species inhabiting the Spit and the precious ecosystem surrounding us.
You are welcome to start coming by at 9:30am where we will have coffee and treats for walkers, and merchandise available for sale. The walk will commence at 10am! Please meet at the main path entrance by the welcome sign at the start of the dunes. Parking will not be available, please arrive by foot, bike, boat, or kayak.
